MISSION: Welcome to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina. The Humane Society was established to protect animals from cruelty and abuse. It was designed not only to serve as a safe haven for homeless pets, but also to act as a resource and service to the communities of eastern North Carolina. By educating the public about animal issues, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of pet over-breeding and teach people how to be responsible pet owners. We facilitate adoption of pets to good homes while at the same time increasing our capacity to help other neglected animals.
